I've visited this restaurant twice with different groups of friends, and both times, we all had a great experience. We ordered a variety of dishes: japchae, seafood pancake, kimchi pancake, hot stone bibimbap, army stew, bossam, and galbi. Every dish was delicious, but I particularly enjoyed the japchae and bossam. Unlike the usual cold japchae, this version is served hot, which was a pleasant surprise. Some of my friends were trying japchae for the first time, and they absolutely loved it! The pork in the bossam was also served warm, adding to its rich flavor. Both visits came to under $30 per person, including tax and tip, which I think is an excellent value. The restaurant is family-friendly and offers a wide variety of authentic Korean dishes.
This our favorite Korean restaurant in the area. We've tried about 1/3 of the menu and we've enjoyed everything we've ordered so far. Service is always good, but I love the owner because he always checks in to make sure we've had a good experience. The restaurant itself is cozy. They maximize tables by not having oversized booths. I prefer this because they can be busy but you don't have to wait long for a table because they've maximized their space.
We ordered quite the meal for lunch! We came for the marinated crab which was delicious, the meat was succulent and had a great sweet and savory flavor which paired perfectly with the rice. The fried mackerel was also good, nice char and crispiness. Service was excellent, had some complimentary hot barley tea which was perfect for the cold day. Had to take off one star due to the crab being quite expensive. The meal came with 2 crabs and a soy bean paste soup for $35. I know seafood can be quite expensive so it's not their fault but it would deter me from eating this again. Though it definitely would be more expensive to fly to Korea, the dish would be cheaper there! Overall, excellent food here!
My favorite Korean restaurant near home has delicious pork belly. The Korean pizza is loaded with toppings and tastes better than other places. The auntie who serves is always cheerful, making it feel like having a meal cooked by your mom. The only downside is that the prices are gradually increasing.
Really nice homey Korean restaurant. Lots of seating and parking available and service is fast Food is really good! Got the pork belly meat plate, and seafood pancakes. Large quantities. Side dishes were also refillable.
My wife and daughter wanted to try this place because of its marinated crab, which is raw blue crab marinated in a spicy sauce. I was too scared to try, but they said it had an interesting texture that was flavored well. I opted for something cooked, their kalbi short ribs. It was a decent portion though I kinda wanted more for the price. Service was friendly and helpful to teach us how to eat the crab since it was our first time. They have Korean dramas playing on their TVs and I got kinda hooked on Cheongdamdong Alice...now I gotta read how it ended!
A cute and cozy Korean restaurant. Definitely good, but didn't blow me away like I was hoping for. We came after a hike and were quite hungry - there's a lot of seating inside and it almost seems family run. The waitress was super friendly and was definitely authentic. I got the stir fried squid and veggies which came with rice, and we also got an assortment of banchan. They were all quite good! The potatoes and asparagus were my favorite, but there was quite a variety of them all. The squid was a little tough in some pieces but good, and I did like the sauce it was stir fried in despite it being a little difficult to coat the squid. Overall, if you're looking for some Korean food this does the job, though I do think there are better spots in the area.
We wanted to try this spot because it wasn't a chain restaurant and they had marinated raw crab. I enjoyed the marinated raw crab and it wasn't too salted. There's a slight fishy/seafood taste which is expected. You definitely need to eat the crab with rice. The cold noodle was chewy and refreshing. I've had better, but this was still the top 5. Service was excellent.
Charming mom-and-pop Korean restaurant, perfect for those cold days when the only thing that can warm you is a hot bowl of sundubu-jjigae. Eating here felt so comforting, like we were being taken care of by a friend's Korean mom. The food was filling, hearty, and tasty. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but if I'm ever hungry and in the area then this is a great spot. Plenty of parking available in the lot out front.
